Reading, Listening, Watching

Reading Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery aloud

Anne of Green Gables (Anne of Green Gables, #1)

“Miss Barry was a kindred spirit after all,” Anne confided to Marilla,

“You wouldn’t think so to look at her, but she is. . .

Kindred spirits are not so scarce as I used to think.

It’s splendid to find out there are so many of them in the world.”

Listening to Lily & Madeleine

What can I say? The voices, the harmonies … and at least for this song, the cello. What’s not to love?

The album is The Weight of the Globe

“Written over the course of their summer vacation and recorded in three days … ”

It is that beautiful.

Here’s hoping that as life unfolds for them, they still find a way to sing together.

Watching John McWhorter: Txtng is killing language. JK!!!

Obviously, language evolves and I find it fascinating to explore the ways
that technology and social media habits are moving spoken and written speech forward.

Rather than moan and lament about the “good ole days”, I would  rather be open to change
as well as be part of the current that rushes through toward change.

What are you reading? listening to? watching?
Please share!
I love to discover new books, music and ideas.

  1. O you’ve given me lots to indulge in. I loved that song and can’t wait to own the cd in June!!
LIke you I would rather be open to change and look forward to the excitement that the future holds rather than lament for days past. I told my family I want to live to be a healthy 100 years old just so I can be witness to the incredible age that lies ahead for this earth! It’s exciting and expansive, don’t you think?
